I am an undergrad Student at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. My practice focuses on clothing and textile construction and design. I seek to use my creativity to make other people’s lives more beautiful, specifically through what they wear. In my work I use myth, wonder, and vintage charm to create meaningful apparel and accessories.
I create eccentric pieces for the everyday. My designs never feel monotonous, I want my wearer to experience the joy of dressing. My experience in Elementary Education has given me insight into what children like to wear. I also have gained a greater appreciation for considering children in the same way that adults are considered, specifically in what they wear and how they express themselves. Combining my love for early childhood education and design has allowed me to expand my practice into children’s apparel and accessories.
Through my work I aim to connect myth and wonder to everyday life.
